Atkin donated £20,000 each year between 2012 and 2016 to the GWPF through his Atkin Charitable Foundation.4Alistair Osborne. “Baby group tips scales at £300m,” The Telegraph, May 23, 2005. Stance on Climate Change
While Atkin does not appear to have publicly revealed his stance on climate change, he has funded the GWPF which has released reports claiming “policies to ‘stop climate change’ are based on climate models that completely failed to predict the lack of warming for the past two decades” and contends that “carbon dioxide has been mercilessly demonized as ‘carbon pollution’, when in fact it is a benefit to the planet.”12Andrew Montford. “Unintended Consequences of Climate Change Policy” (PDF), Global Warming Policy Foundation, January 2015.
