We’ve got a few changes coming to DeSmog UK that we want to share with you. I’m very excited to announce that DeSmog UK deputy editor Mat Hope will be taking over as Editor as of today.
After three years at DeSmog UK I have decided to take a step back from my role as editor. This will allow me to pursue some other projects that I’ve had simmering in the background, but I will also continue working with DeSmog in a part time capacity where I will keep digging into the cross-Atlantic climate science denial connections and post-Brexit lobbying, among other things.
DeSmog UK has come a long way since it launched in 2014 and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. Under Mat’s leadership we plan to continue investigating the behind-the-scenes influencers, exposing wrongdoing, and reporting on the ground from the UK’s climate frontlines.
With unprecedented changes taking place all around us, from Brexit to soaring global temperatures, now more than ever we need dedicated, independent investigative journalism. At DeSmog UK we are committed to cutting through the spin clouding the debate on energy and the environment in Britain.
