Today is Kyla Mandelโ€™s final day working for DeSmog UK, and the whole team would like to express our heartfelt thanks for her incredible work over the past threeย years.

Kyla joined DeSmog UK in November 2014, shortly after the project launched. She became Editor in Marchย 2016.

In that time, she broke many notable stories including how Exxon lobbied the UK government to slow the transition on EVs, how a transatlantic network of lobbyists was pushing climate disinformation and for Brexit, and revealing fossil fuel donations to the UKโ€™s main political parties in the lead-up to last yearโ€™s generalย election.

Kyla was also instrumental in establishing DeSmog UKโ€™s Disinformation Database, growing our editorial and reporting team, and significantly expanding the breadth and reach of ourย coverage.

She is moving on to become an Associate Editor on the climate team at Think Progress. We wish her all the best for the future, and look forward to her nextย scoop.
